This SPF 50 face sunscreen is a less-dewy version of Face Shield Classic, a staple, ‘fan-fave’ sunscreen by Colorescience®.
While it is tinted in a slightly darker shade than Face Shield Classic, it goes on in a translucent way.

A few helpful things to know about this product:
Use a nickel-sized amount of SPF to cover the entire face. You can also measure the right amount by dispensing sunscreen across the length of two fingers. Use more when applying sunscreen to other parts of the body.
You can use this product on the t-zone or oily areas, while covering the rest of your face with another SPF in the Face Shield series. For example, Face Shield Classic, Bronze or Glow or Face Shield Flex. You can also try No-Show™ Mineral Sunscreen SPF 50.
This product has not been ophthalmology tested. If you are concerned about eye sensitivity, try Sunforgettable® Total Protection™ Sport Stick SPF 50.
Use this product after skin care and before applying makeup.
To stay protected from the sun, reapply sunscreen every two hours (even while indoors). You can reapply over makeup with Sunforgettable® Total Protection™ Brush-on Shield SPF 50.

Silicone powder – this ingredient is the ‘key’ to creating a matte finish. It blurs imperfections, like large pores, while absorbing oil.
Niacinamide – also known as vitamin B3, this ingredient is an antioxidant, oil regulator, skin brightener and cell-rebuilding agent.
Lipochroman™ – this ingredient is a stronger take on Vitamin-E. It offers better antioxidant power. It fights specific types of free radical damage, which pollution can cause. It is also known as Dimethylmethoxy Chromanol.
Vital ET™ – another form of vitamin E, added for its skin-calming effect. It can reduce redness from acne-causing bacteria. It is also used to reduce redness from sun exposure or other irritants (like razors).
Infraguard – an multi-ingredient mix designed to fight infrared radiation (IR) and blue (HEV) light, which can cause signs of aging. It contains antioxidants from tara tannins and organic sunflower sprouts. It is designed to work within the mitochondria of cells (the part that controls skin function). In a participant study, it resulted in firmer, denser skin than sunscreens without this ingredient. It achieved this by protecting the skin’s collagen.
Iron oxides – as pigmented minerals frequently found in makeup products, these also protect from blue (HEV) light. Blue light from our devices and computer screens can cause signs of aging.
Bisabolol – this ingredient, made of chamomile, is used as a skin calmer and soother.
Silver Ear mushroom extract – a highly moisturizing, plant-based ingredient that is more powerful than hyaluronic acid (HA). It also fights free radical damage with its antioxidant properties, potentially preventing signs of aging and skin deterioration.
Allantoin – a comfrey plant extract used to keep skin soft, moisturized and calmed. It can also support skin cell regeneration.
