A few helpful things to know about this product:
This is a very rich moisturizer. It’s best used during dry winter spells, or at night, while your skin repairs itself, and needs that added ‘boost’ of moisture. If you experience perpetually dry skin on your face, you may like using this year-round, in the morning and evening.
For a less-heavy, middle-of-the-road solution, try Rejuvenative Moisturizer, or the LUMIVIVE™ Day and Night system. For a very light option, try Ultra Sheer Moisturizer.
For healing after cosmetic procedures, you may experience better, faster skin repair with TNS® Ceramide Treatment Cream. In addition to peptides, it has the added benefit of growth factors in its formula, to speed up cell production. It can also be used for dry skin.
Do not mix this product with retinoids, nor with chemical exfoliants, like AHAs or BHAs, without the advice of a doctor or aesthetician. If you are aiming to treat acne or hyperpigmentation, other products may be more suitable for you.

Notable skin care ingredients
Tocopheryl linoleate – a fat-soluble form of vitamin E, functioning as an antioxidant and skin moisturizer.
Tocopheryl acetate – another, stable form of Vitamin E, which fights free radicals as an antioxidant.
Tetrahexyldecyl ascorbate – this is a fat-soluble (lipid-soluble) form of vitamin C. It is believed to help with absorption, since the skin contains some fat.
Sodium hyaluronate – the most common form of hyaluronic acid (HA) found in skin care products. HA is what binds to water, to hydrate your skin. Get more forms of HA, to penetrate your skin more deeply, with the HA5™ Rejuvenating Hydrator by SkinMedica®.
Panthenol – also known as pro-vitamin B5 (yes, the one in shampoos), this is a water and moisture sealant for the skin. In addition, it has anti-inflammatory properties to help with redness from damaged cells. Panthenol is also found in the Facial Cleanser by SkinMedica®, which is great for day-to-day cleansing.
Squalane – a hydrogenated, saturated, stable oil that helps with moisturization in a non-comedogenic (non clogging) way. It’s also an antioxidant, skin soother and some even say, an antibacterial agent. Not to be confused with squalene (notice the ‘e’?), which is less stable.
Avena sativa (oat) kernel extract – an anti-inflammatory and soothing ingredient. Great for dryness.
Aloe barbadensis leaf juice – basically aloe vera, this plant has been used extensively to sooth skin, especially after sun burns or on wounds. It is hydrating (with its high water content) and has some antioxidant benefits.
Plus, plant oils and extracts like: sunflower seed oil, algae extract, millet seed extract, soybean oil, stearyl glycyrrhetinate and others. These act as conditioners, soothers and antioxidant sources.
