This is a Fall Beauty O-Wards winner (by The Oprah Magazine), with a loving fan base. Like many Colorescience® products, this is also a mineral, broad-spectrum, SPF 50 sunscreen for your morning, pre-makeup routine. It is tinted.
As a day cream, it’s awesome for sensitive skin – especially the kind that is affected by rosacea and redness. It contains a formula called BioSolace™, which is a blend of vitamins and plant-based extracts to moisturize and soothe skin, which can thus reduce redness.
Even better, it contains chromium oxide for green undertones, to minimize the look of redness that’s already there. So, you don’t need to use a primer in addition to it.

A few helpful things to know about this product:
This is a very thick product (in a good way). However, it can be spread thin for sheer coverage (it’s not meant to be a foundation, per se, but it is tinted). It is not a ‘watery’ type of sunscreen. That said, it feels absolutely wonderful on the skin – not heavy and definitely not oily at all. It is oil-free and non-comedogenic, so it won’t clog pores, either.
While you can use this product on your eye skin area, be sure not to get it into your eyes. You may want to pair this with Total Eye® 3-in-1 Renewal Therapy SPF 35 for a daily, morning regimen.
Throughout the day, remember to keep reapplying sunscreen for optimal sun protection. UV exposure can inflame the sources of redness in sensitive skin. One way to do this over your makeup is to use the powder-based, Sunforgettable® Total Protection™ Brush-on Shield.
All Calm™ is not water-resistant. If you’re going to the beach or pool, be sure to wear a sunscreen that fits the situation. Colorescience® makes multiple solutions for this, including:
- Sunforgettable® Total Protection™ Face Shield SPF 50 w/ EnviroScreen® – water resistant up to 40 minutes.
- Tint du Soleil™ SPF 30 Whipped Foundation – water resistant up to 40 minutes.
- Natural Finish Pressed Foundation SPF 20 – water resistant up to 80 minutes.
- Sunforgettable® Total Protection™ Brush-on Shield – water resistant up to 80 minutes.
Please don’t try mixing Even Up® with All Calm™, as the results have not been tested. Stick to the one for your main skin issue. If the colour of either is not quite right for you, these can be mixed with a touch of Tint du Soleil™ SPF 30 Whipped Foundation, in your correct shade, for an easy adjustment.
Notable skin care ingredients:
The BioSolace™ formula is supported by:
Niacinamide (Vitamin B3) – a common skin calmer and oil production regulator. It can help with skin tone, especially when it comes to redness.
SymRelief® – a combination of ginger extract and bisabolol for a soothing and cooling effect.
Vital ET™ – a form of vitamin E, made to calm the skin, even from mechanical stress or UV exposure.
MAXnolia – a Magnolia bark extract to hydrate the skin and reduce red tones.
CM-Glucan Forte – a baker’s yeast ß-glucan formation, included for hydration and maintaining a healthy skin barrier.
Native Essence™ – a sea fennel extract, used for hydration, which creates a smoothing effect.
Active Ingredients:
Titanium Dioxide 11.6%; Zinc Oxide 8.6% – providing broad-spectrum UVA & UVB protection from sun rays.

LIFESAVER
I love all calm, it’s the best treatment I’ve used for my rosacea. It works very well and it lasts for a good time. I’m so happy this product exists! I can use it and walk out the door for a quick errand without feeling embarrassed about my red cheeks. For work I add foundation just for a more better coverage.
